Pastor Jon and Anna Tyler
Pastor
Jon was born and raised near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as the third child in a family of six. He was privileged to attend a Christian school, and to grow up in a solid church that always treated him like family. Jon trusted Christ as his personal Savior at a winter camp just after his thirteenth birthday.
From the time he was a young child, Jon has always known God made him to be a preacher. There was never another serious pursuit in his life. Upon graduating high school, Jon attended Baptist College of Ministry in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, where he earned his bachelor's degree in pastoral studies in 2018. He returned to graduate school that fall and completed his Master's Degree in 2020.
Outside of the ministry, Jon is an avid sports fan. He also loves to play his trombone or the piano, or to socialize with friends whenever possible, especially over a good board game.
Anna, also raised in the Milwaukee area, grew up in a good Christian home. She trusted Christ as her Savior in her teen years, and became very involved in her church. After graduating high school, she attended Veritas Baptist College, where she earned her Associate's Degree in elementary education. Anna's passions include teaching children, decorating and organizing, and eating ice cream whenever possible.
Jon married his sweetheart Anna in January 2024. Together they love any kind of adventure, but you might find them most often frequenting local ice cream or coffee shops or taking strolls through the parks.
Jon's passion has always been for the ministry. It is his heart's desire to help the people of God grow into a fuller understanding of who they are in Jesus Christ and what God's personal plan is for their lives. Jon loves to preach and teach the Word of God, and he longs for the people of God to take the Word of God seriously - especially in this day when God's Word is so often minimized, explained away, or ignored. Jon believes that faithfully applying the Bible will change lives! Furthermore, Jon is passionate about creating and maintaining a family atmosphere in the church, making it a place where God's people love to be - a second home for the people of God!
